Coinco Promotions Pty Ltd is a 100% Australian owned and operated business. Our coins and packaging are proudly sourced from local manufacturers.
The business was established in 2005. At that time, souvenir coins were simply brass tokens dispensed by a variety of vending machines. Coinco Promotions followed suite but introduced a new standard of quality and craftsmanship.
The souvenir coins produced by Coinco Promotions have always been regarded as the benchmark for the industry, characterised by their distinctive ‘sunray’ edge and fine engraving detail.
Before long, Coinco Promotions realized there was a clear demand for coins with a superior finish. Tourist site operators realised that their visitors required something a little more ‘up-market’ than raw brass tokens. Their visitors wanted souvenirs that were truly collectable or could be presented as gifts to family and friends.
In 2007 we launched the first of our 24ct gold-plated coins at Parliament House in Canberra. Encased in clear plastic capsules, these coins now constitute the main focus of our business.
All our coins are stamped using 2mm thick ‘cartridge brass’. This brass is soft enough to allow the fine detail to be stamped into our coins and it also has excellent anti-tarnish properties. The coins are 30mm in diameter, roughly the size of the original Australian Penny.
