HARS is a not-for-profit organisation and was formed in 1979 by a group of aviation enthusiasts interested in the preservation of Australian aviation history.
Operated primarily by volunteers, HARS has has around 480 people involved in it's operation including 70 licensed aircraft engineers. Their list of vintage aircraft is very impressive. To find out more, visit their website https://hars.org.au
Having already designed and supplied a coin to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of QANTAS, we were asked to produce a coin to highlight the ambitious project to bring John Travolta's 707 back to Australia and ultimately to HARS at Albion Park Rail..
The line-art image below, and supporting text were supplied by the client. The reverse side would feature the HARS logo.

Apart from some additional text to 'balance' the design on the reverse side, no other changes were made to the client's original artwork.
Prior to production, we produce computer mockups of the coin to show the client what the final product will look like.

Once approved, the coin went into production. The coin was made to our standard specifications. Diameter 30mm, thickness 2mm and gold-plated with 24ct gold. All our coins are supplied in a clear acrylic case with a black packing ring for added protection.
